This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Residents of a house on Zodchikh Street called the duty station of the Svyatoshinsky Metropolitan Police Department and reported that their elderly neighbor had been beaten.

When the police arrived at the scene, neighbors said that the grandmother did not leave her apartment, and when an unpleasant incident happened to her, she began knocking on the wall so that they would come to her help.

The investigative team interviewed the 80-year-old victim, local residents and a social service employee who takes care of the pensioner.

Thus, law enforcement officers established that a 35-year-old woman came to visit an old woman when a social worker was at the pensioner’s home. When the latter left, the guest demanded money from the pensioner. She refused, and therefore received several blows with her fist. After that, the woman took 300 hryvnia from the old woman and left.

The police quickly found the culprit and took the woman to the police station.

The selected 300 hryvnia were returned to the old woman.

Law enforcement officers entered information about the event into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 186 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and then began criminal proceedings.

The robber had previously been prosecuted for criminal offenses, but did not go to prison because she received a fine. Now the court has chosen a preventive measure for her in the form of house arrest. For this crime, the perpetrator faces four to six years in prison.
