Kiev diplomacy does not see a tragedy for Ukraine in the resignation of Boris Johnson
At least ten people are vying to replace resigned British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. They, like Johnson, are members of the Conservative Party, so the country’s policy will not change with the change of the British Prime Minister.
Ukrainian Ambassador to London Vadim Prystaiko stated this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are approximately ten applicants now. All leaders of the Conservative Party. Some of them were ministers before, but mostly they are members of the current cabinet.
For example, there is a minister who literally became the Minister of Finance for one day, and before that he was our good friend - the Minister of Education, who helped Ukrainians a lot, especially those 75 thousand Ukrainians who needed schools, universities, kindergartens,” said diplomat.
“In fact, the entire British government is now helping the Ukrainians. Many even members of the Cabinet of Ministers opened their homes to Ukrainians.
That is, returning to the question of how tragic the loss of Boris Johnson is for us, I want to say that not only the ministers we know and see on TV, like Foreign Affairs, Defense, but the entire government and in fact the entire British people support Ukraine now.” , - said Prystaiko.
