“Despondency is also present in Poroshenko’s headquarters in the Cherkasy region, with whose representative Vesti managed to meet.” Our interlocutor Marina notes that she would have left because she did not believe in Petro Poroshenko’s victory, but she came across a friendly team and decided to work it out to the end. “Many of them are ideological “powder nerds” and are convinced that Pyotr Alekseevich and his team will come up with something and their candidate will win the elections,” the publication says.

According to Vesti from Petro Poroshenko’s headquarters in the Cherkasy region, money has run out there to pay for the work of agitators.

“Before the first round, we visited villages, distributed newspapers, pens, calendars, and talked with people. At first they received 300 hryvnia a day,” Marina, an employee of the headquarters, tells Vesti. – They paid us carefully, every 10 days. Then the amounts decreased. First up to 250, and then up to 200 hryvnia. I spoke with agitators from the Vinnytsia region - they were initially paid 200 hryvnia. But in Kyiv they gave us 500... After the first round we were told that we were working as before, but the payment would be based on the results of the second round. They gave us 300 hryvnia for stationery, now they give us 20 hryvnia a day for lunch - that’s all. If Poroshenko passes, then it turns out that we have done our job and we will be paid something.”

The publication also provides a “juicy” quote from one of the disappointed campaigners for the still current president.

“The first time I got involved in the elections. I won't go again for any money. My nerves can't stand it. You go into the house, there’s an old lady sitting like God’s dandelion, you hand her a newspaper with compliments, like a human being, and she says to you: “Go to..., daughter, with your Poroshenko!”, the publication quotes the agitator.
