“For a fee, the attackers, using telecommunications equipment, bypassing the copyright holders, rebroadcast to subscribers more than 500 paid and prohibited television channels, including 14 Russian,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

Providers operated in Mariupol, Krasnoarmeysk, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, distributing broadcasts to surrounding settlements.

Let us remind you that strict censorship and restrictions on freedom of speech and the dissemination of information have been in effect on the territory of Ukraine for a year and a half. Rebroadcasting of a number of Russian TV channels is prohibited. Also in early June, it was reported that Goskino had banned the screening of 162 Russian films and television series. All these films were filmed in the Russian Federation after January 1, 2014. Later, 5 more Russian-produced TV series were banned.
