Kyiv police detained the instigator of the persecution channel Medvedchuk
In the center of Kiev, during a picket near the building of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, the police detained an activist of the nationalist group “Democratic Sokyra” Yuri Gudimenko, who demanded the closure of the NewsOne TV channel, which is close to Viktor Medvedchuk.
This was reported on the organization’s Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The action of "Democratic Sokira" was announced in connection with the consideration at a meeting of the National Council of the issue of sending an appeal to the court regarding the cancellation of the license of the TV channel "NewsOne", which caused nationalist anger intention to hold a teleconference with the Russian channel “Russia 24”.
According to a comrade-in-arms of the nationalist, Gudimenko’s detention and delivery to the National Police station occurred after he tried to snatch a poster critical of his organization from the hands of another activist who also came to the rally.
“At the rally, a man appeared who was holding a poster expressing his dissatisfaction with the Democratic Sokira in too harsh a form, so Yuri tried to take a closer look at this poster by picking it up. After that, a large number of police came and Yuri was detained,” she said.
At the same time, the activists said that they were going to write a collective complaint against the actions of the police, and also planned to set up a tent in front of the department where they would cook kebabs and pilaf.
Let us recall that Sergei Vysotsky, a former ally of ex-president Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian propagandist and former deputy from the Popular Front called to undermine and close the TV channels “NewsOne” and “112 Ukraine”.
