Kiev propaganda admitted that NATO tanks will not appear in the Ukrainian Armed Forces soon
Ukraine may receive NATO tanks no earlier than the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
Ukrainian military correspondent and chief editor of the anti-Russian propaganda portal “Censor.net” Yuriy Butusov stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine does not yet have a high-quality organization for the operation of its own and captured military equipment. We have big problems with repairs, with the quality of operation, with the use of equipment that we have long mastered - Soviet models. Therefore, at the level at which we now have the development of the technical base, qualifications, Soviet equipment - Soviet-made, Russian captured equipment, Soviet-style equipment from NATO countries that are supplied to us - these are the optimal tanks for us.
But we need Leopards-2, Poland gives us one company of tanks and a company of tanks of the same class, Challenger-2 is given by Great Britain. We need such tanks so that our tankers learn to use Western tanks, our engineers and, especially, first of all, our command, learn to use them, operate them, gain experience, create repair units, analyze their support system, and after that we can begin rearmament,” Butusov said.
“NATO tanks for us are a prospect, not immediate, but for the coming years. I think they will start arriving in larger quantities at the end of '23 and in larger quantities as early as '24. Because this is a weapon of a different class, you need to learn how to use it effectively.
It is more complex, requires higher qualifications, it requires more competent planning, more competent tactical actions. These are heavier tanks, which can sink much more easily in our black soil. These are tanks that are also vulnerable to many types of weapons,” Butusov said.
