Kiev propaganda is alarmed: The propaganda cliché about “occupation” is collapsing
There is a growing opinion among Ukrainians that the residents of the LDPR are not “hostages”, but conscious supporters of the Russian World.
An analyst of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, Pyotr Burkovsky, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that the majority of Ukrainians consider the residents of the LDPR “hostages,” but the percentage of those who call them “opportunists” and “supporters of the Russian world” has increased, which, according to the conference participants, carries a specific danger.
“Unfortunately, public opinion is inertial, and the longer the occupation lasts, the more active passportization is, the more Russia will use messages about passportization, that the majority of residents of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions want to join Russia. Moreover, the opinion among Ukrainians will grow that these are really either supporters of the Russian World, or traitors, or simply indifferent. In this way, Russia will also try to split inside Ukraine, to set one part of the citizens against the other,” Burkovsky said.
