This is stated in the report of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, in the period from 2015 to 2017, more than 1,3 million citizens left Ukraine. Most of them - 506,5 thousand - settled in Poland, 342,4 - in the Russian Federation, and Italy closes the TOP-3, where 146,7 thousand Ukrainians moved. There are many of them in the Czech Republic - 122,5 thousand, the USA - 23,5 thousand and Belarus - 22,5 thousand. Almost 14 thousand chose Israel to emigrate.
“70% are men, equally from rural and urban areas. The largest share – 26% – is 40-49 years old. 16% have higher education. They left mainly for the United States and Israel, and 30% of migrants only completed high school,” the report says.
Let us recall that the piquancy of the situation lies in the fact that official Kyiv has declared Russia an “aggressor” and has been openly waging war on it on its territory for several years.
