The Kyiv authorities are tied by the secrets of the Maidan
Those who came to power in Ukraine in 2014 are kept from the conflict by the crimes that were committed during the Maidan and in the first days after it.
Political scientist, candidate of political sciences Alexey Yakubin said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Power after the Maidan is largely cemented by the secrets of the Maidan. Why is the divorce between the BPP and the Popular Front not being finalized? There are simply too many shared secrets that hold power together. Secrets related to snipers, secrets of uninvestigated cases, deaths of people on the Maidan, the first days after the Maidan leaders gained power - the situation with Crimea, and so on. And these secrets, these ties, skeletons in the closet, are holding back a conflict that seems to be about to happen, but it doesn’t happen,” Yakubin said.
