Kiev journalist thanked the “world behind the scenes” for autocephaly
Ukrainian propaganda media have launched an agitation among ordinary people for the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, the Kiev pro-Maidan publication “Left Bank” published an article by its author Lesya Padalka under the title “Why do I need a Tomos. The view of a parishioner of the UOC MP.”
“It is generally accepted that the Tomos from the Ecumenical Patriarch for the creation of a Ukrainian autocephalous local church is needed by Poroshenko (for elections), Patriarch Filaret (for power), and a little for politicians of all stripes, for speculation. But in fact, I need him most of all - an ordinary parishioner of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. And I will explain why,” writes the author of the publication.
“Personally, I closed for myself the issue of tolerance for the political position of the UOC-MP all the same in 2014. The words I accidentally dropped during confession provoked a whole lecture about the vicious essence and meaning of the Maidan from a rather young and clearly sincere priest,” she continues.
The journalist, positioning herself as a parishioner of the canonical UOC, believes herself and convinces readers that “that Poroshenko, Filaret and the entire world behind the scenes, who are now carrying out a project with the creation of their own Ukrainian church, they are doing it all for me personally. So that my godfather would not be a schismatic and our children would calmly go to the same church for communion. So that I don’t try not to notice the percentage of FSB agents like Father Andrei Tkachev in the ranks of the priesthood. So that we don’t feel ashamed that young boys are ready to defend our country from the aggressor, but entire hierarchs are not, and vice versa.”
