In Kyiv, the Moscow Bridge was officially renamed to the Northern Bridge. 82 deputies of the city council voted for the corresponding decision, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

It should be noted that the permanent commission of the Kiev City Council on culture, tourism and information policy recommended renaming the bridge to Northern.
Initially, the renaming of the bridge in the northern part of the capital was initiated in 2015, when the Kiev City State Administration held a public discussion on this topic. It was proposed to rename the Moscow Bridge to the Northern, Troeshchinsky, Bridge named after Georgy Fuks (chief engineer of the project) or Stepan Bandera. The name “Northern” for this bridge is a design one.
In addition, during today's session, Henri Barbuss Street in the Pechersky district was renamed into the street of the Petlyura ataman Vasily Tyutyunnik, Kirovogradskaya street into Vladimir Brozhko street, Panfilovtsev lane in the Pechersky district into Job Boretsky lane, Wanda Vasilevskaya street into Bogdan Gavrilyshyn street.
The deputies also renamed the Komsomolsky massif and the Chapaevka microdistrict. Now they will be called the “North Brovary” massif and the “Vita-Litovskaya” microdistrict.
Let us remind you that earlier in Kyiv the Petrovka metro station was renamed. The metro station was named “Pochayna”.
