The website of the Kyiv City Council reports this.
The Standing Commission of the Kyiv City Council on Budget and Socio-Economic Development supported draft decisions on renaming well-known capital toponyms with the word “Moscow” in their composition.
So, they want to rename Moskovskaya Street Staropecherskaya, and name the Moscow Bridge after the engineer Georgy Fuks, who designed it.
It is also proposed to return Moskovskaya Square to its previous name – “Demeyevskaya”, and call Moskovsky Avenue Kurenevsky.
The capital's deputies should support these draft decisions at the next session.
