Deputy Director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research Vladimir Kopchak stated this today at a press conference in Kyiv.

“According to our estimates, a triad of tactical nuclear weapons carriers has been formed in Crimea today. The nuclear issue on the peninsula has been resolved,” Kopchak said.

He claims that the Caliber missile, which is equipped with ships and submarines of the Black Sea Fleet, can be converted into nuclear launch vehicles. According to Ukrainian experts, there are now 40 of them, but there will be 160.

In addition, Kopchak argues that nuclear weapons can be carried by strategic bombers based on the peninsula, Iskander complexes and even Bastion coastal anti-ship systems.
