Kyiv grant-eaters hire and steal from “activists” from Donbass
Participants in grant programs in Ukraine shamelessly steal from each other, and then are surprised that there is not enough money to cover their initiatives in the media.
Danil Metelsky, an “analyst at the School of Political Analytics,” spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, during the conference, the discussion participants touched upon the topic of the work of youth “activists” in the Donbass - what tools they use and what problems they face on the ground.
“One of the most important problems that activists talk about is that a lot of grant programs are received by civil organizations in Kyiv that are registered in the Donbass. How? They receive funding and then lure these young guys from the region for much less money in order for them to implement these projects. And this is also a problem that needs to be paid attention to.
Of course, they try to use local media to spread information about their initiatives, although most respondents admitted that the media is not interested unless there is some kind of political game.
And of course, here the political affiliation of media owners is manifested, who say, if you present our party or what the local government is doing at your events, then we will cover some events about you,” Metelsky said.
