Kyiv pensioners receive threats and are afraid to go out in the evening
Kyiv pensioners who sympathize with communists regularly receive threats and are afraid to go out in the evening.
In particular, communist Zinaida Mednikova told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this during a picket at the US Embassy in Kyiv.
“When I’m reading the Kommunist newspaper on a bench, the neighbors who have lived in my house for 49 years threaten me: who are you going to serve now, if Simonenko is removed, we’ll punch you in the face,” said the pensioner. – And such threats endlessly: “Communyak on gilljaku”, “Communyak on knives” and so on.
Our mechanics work in the basement, and they also endlessly criticize and badmouth Simonenko. I tell them: you will still be kissing the footprints of the communists. What, you waited for a good life, what have you achieved? This house was built under the communists, but why don’t you destroy it, but destroy monuments and destroy the symbols of Soviet power? I express my indignation, but I honestly admit that after sunset I’m afraid to leave the house.”
Thank you!
