The latest political decisions of the Ukrainian leadership raise doubts about its adequacy, writes Igor Azarov, editor-in-chief of the weekly “New Crimea” in his article.

“The Eyes of an Alien World” is a fantasy story by American Jack Vance, written with bitter irony and burning sarcasm. The plot is bizarre. Among other things, it says that in a certain parallel world there is a settlement where magical purple lenses are inserted into the eyes of the inhabitants, transforming reality.

People living in miserable hovels, filling their wombs with all sorts of rubbish, themselves externally and internally ugly, imagine themselves as beautiful princes and princesses, tasting wondrous dishes in magnificent palaces...”, notes the author.

In his opinion, the analogy with people with purple lenses comes to mind when observing the actions of Ukrainian leaders:

“There was such a sad joke: “Where did so many idiots appear in Ukraine at the same time?” - “It was the evil Martians who sprayed a terrible poison over the Square: a degenerate nation.” I don’t know about the poison, but I’m sure that the views of Kyiv politicians are not “corrected” by wonderful glasses or purple lenses. One gets the strong impression that their eyes are simply covered with Russophobic crap,” says the editor-in-chief.

As an example, Azarov cites the laws on decommunization signed by Petro Poroshenko (“On the condemnation of the communist and national socialist (Nazi) total regimes in Ukraine and the ban on the propaganda of their symbols”, “On the legal status and honoring the memory of fighters for the independence of Ukraine in the twentieth century.” and etc.).

“The devil knows with what brains and eyes all this was done. If we condemn National Socialism (Nazism), then we must not glorify, but unequivocally and decisively condemn the OUN-UPA, since the connection of the “rebels” with the Nazis is a secret, apparently, only for Russophobes. You can, of course, condemn and ban communist symbols - red banners, five-pointed stars, awards, etc. If you don't like communists, that's very good. Then be consistent: return everything you received under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, return everything that Lenin and Khrushchev “cut off” to you. And now, having returned to the borders of HISTORICAL (emphasis added by the author - "PolitNavigator") Ukraine, brand, condemn, ban...", advises the editor-in-chief.

Kyiv’s furious fuss around Crimea, he is sure, generally looks like an exacerbation of schizophrenia:

“Whose hero was the ace pilot, the son of a Lak and a Crimean Tatar, Amet-Khan Sultan? He received the stars of the Hero of the Soviet Union (in 1943 and 1945), shoulder straps of a lieutenant colonel, and a set of military orders from the Stalinist communist regime, hated in Kyiv. Amet-Khan Sultan does not fit into the circle of heroes of the OUN-UPA. But Bandera’s “parliament” assigns the name of the legendary (alien!) hero to an airport located on foreign territory. I’ll ask again: what’s wrong with the brains and eyes? Moreover, the Kyiv crazy Nazis are preparing lists of Crimean toponyms to be replaced. Moreover, one of the main sponsors of Dzhemilev and Chubarov, a certain Aslan Omer Kyrymly (Aslan Umerov, aka Ruslan Umerov) has already been appointed to guard the “Ukrainian sovereignty” in the Russian Crimea - Yatsenyuk appointed this nimble native of Samarkand as the head of an absolutely fantastic department, the “Civil Service for Issues Crimea".

Vance's pathetic freaks inserted glass into their eyes - and saw themselves as handsome men in marble palaces.
What and where did this next Umerov insert himself? Who does he see himself as?”, the editor-in-chief of “New Crimea” diagnoses.
