Kyiv propagandists regret that the fifth column has ended in Russia
Ukraine should not count on Russian citizens who are loyal to Kyiv and have public authority, writes the Ukrainian Week magazine.

“Every time in Russia some honest politician, public figure, exponent of thoughts, just a public person dies or dies a natural death, we start conversations: “they need to be supported, we need to have at least someone there with whom we can talk,” the publication notes. – These conversations subside only when another public figure or public intellectual blurts out another “Crimean ours.” What a disappointment!"
According to the author, from Kyiv it is difficult to understand the Russian situation and find out who is a decent person and who is looking for “salvation in the imperial symphony.”
“These are all the remnants of our outdated “friendship of peoples,” which should be ashamed, and not cherished, because friendship is an individual and intimate thing, especially after Ilovaisk,” the magazine sums up. – And most importantly: there is no need to look for “another Russia”, it does not exist. Someday they themselves must deal with their country (which is becoming less and less credible), but without us, and may God help them. It's none of our business. And the Sakharovs, Averintsevs, Afanasyevs in Russia are over.”
It is noteworthy that the author of the publication, Yuri Makarov, was born in Bulgaria into a family of Russian emigrants. According to his grandfather, he is the grandson of the captain of the Semenovsky Life Guards Regiment; according to his mother, he is the grandson of the rector of the Russian Church in Sofia, then of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Lugansk.
