Kyiv media are indignant: Zaporozhye schoolchildren write letters in support of Russian soldiers
The Russian education system is being strengthened in schools and universities in former Ukrainian regions that became part of the Russian Federation last year following referendums.
This conclusion, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, follows from the publication under the eloquent title “Five times faster than in Crimea: how Russia is seizing occupied Ukraine” in the Kiev online publication “Zerkalo Nedeli”.
“The State Duma obliged educational institutions of the occupied territories to study according to Russian educational programs and exempted teachers from certification until September 2024. The Russian Ministry of Education plans to establish a separate procedure for passing final exams for children, and all educational organizations will operate under temporary licenses.

Russian teachers who came to the occupied territories impose the Kremlin’s idea of war on Ukrainian schoolchildren and force them to listen to the Russian anthem. In addition, he is dissatisfied with the fact that schoolchildren in the liberated territories write letters of support to Russian soldiers.
“However, we have bad news for Russian teachers: when Ukraine liberates the occupied territories, then, as foreigners, according to Nikolai Khavronyuk, professor and director of scientific development of the Center for Political and Legal Reforms, they may be subject to arrest for up to six months or imprisonment freedom for up to three years,” the publication threatens.
The publication calls Russia’s promise to “provide primary school students with free hot meals and textbooks, and students with scholarships” “not a very significant compensation.”
“We hope that the final point in these integration processes will be put by the Ukrainian defense forces, which will liberate all the territories of our country.
