Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko reported this on her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, Crimea was missed in the newspaper “Evening News”, which is close to Yulia Tymoshenko, where the DPR and LPR also disappeared from the map of Ukraine, and the peninsula “disappeared” in a story shown on the UA: First TV channel.
“On the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea, on the eve of Putin’s pseudo-elections in Crimea, the newspaper “Evening News” (sympathizes with one party) and - and this is much, much more serious - the public broadcaster UA: First, issued maps of Ukraine... without Crimea (in the newspaper also without Donbass)! I express my indignation and protest. As a citizen of Ukraine, I expect clarifications and public apologies to Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars. As a politician, together with my colleagues, on all platforms, I defend a tough position that Crimea is Ukraine, diplomats and I are fighting such pseudo-“maps”, catching them around the world, protesting against any attempts to legitimize the theft of Crimea,” Gerashchenko said .
