Kyiv media calls for the Zaporozhye governor to be persecuted for “Colorado sentiments”
Zaporozhye, August 10 (Navigator, Vasily Khomenko) - Ukrainian media have discovered all the signs of separatism in the Governor of Zaporozhye Valery Baranov - the Kiev publication From-ua publishes an investigation, based on the results of which it proposes to dismiss the official for “Colorado sentiments.” "Navigator" provides the material in full.
“...There are several cities in Ukraine that are usually considered in conjunction with neighboring ones: Nikolaev and Kherson, Lugansk and Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk. This habit was introduced by the Soviet Union: participation in socialist competition and other similar rubbish.
Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk are also particularly close geographically: you can get from one regional center to another in an hour. It would seem that the two cities should be as similar as twins, especially since they differ in age by as much as four years (Zaporozhye is a little older).
But the differences are striking. Especially in the political mood of the elite. And the top leaders in our country are traditionally “tied” to the first person of the region. By the way, governors in Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk were appointed almost simultaneously. However, in relation to events in the country, the Dnepropetrovsk residents will give a huge head start to the Cossacks.
Let's compare what exactly has changed since the arrival of new top officials in both areas.
Dnepropetrovsk Governor Igor Kolomoisky, whose actions make it possible to imagine
him in a T-shirt with the inscription “Zhidobandera”, he is much inferior to Zaporozhye Valery Baranov, who for the celebration of Victory Day this year still put on a “Colorado” ribbon. And this at a time when Ukrainian patriots shed blood in the east of our country, defending their country from separatists and Russian evil spirits. Apparently, he really didn’t want to quarrel with the “Family” and the Party of Regions and lose the votes of the pro-Russian minority.
However, this seemingly insignificant detail of the toilet explains a lot in Valery’s actions
Alekseevich. It becomes clear why in the Dnepropetrovsk region there are opportunities to exchange our hostage soldiers captured by the separatists during the ATO, but in the Zaporozhye region they just can’t catch Artem Timchenko, the main instigator of the “egg attack.” “People's Governor of Zaporozhye” Vladimir Rogov also remains at large.
This explains why in Dnepropetrovsk, any means are being sought for soldiers - both financial and production - to outfit our soldiers, and the Zaporozhye governor has been talking for several months about the need to establish the production of local body armor, and when production is established, about the need for certification. Moreover, the price offered by local producers is significantly higher than the market price. One can only guess into whose pocket the difference in price flows.
This makes it clear that in the Dnepropetrovsk region the old cadres were replaced by patriotic public figures, and in the Zaporozhye region almost everyone who was appointed to these positions by the “Family” is in place. Baranov removed only a few heads of district state administrations and replaced them with the “right” people.
A very revealing example of the governor’s strange personnel decisions sits in the same building as Baranov himself. We are talking about the head of the department for internal policy and public relations, Alexander Zubchenko. Alexander Zubchenko came to this department as a deputy under Governor Boris Petrov. Then he took a very active part in the formation of the “correct” Public Council, which responded with full approval to all actions of the presidential vertical of the Yanukovych regime. And he himself, being an official, became a member of this council, since there were not enough loyal public figures even then. Under the next governor, Alexander Peklushenko, Mr. Zubchenko became an active visitor to the Zaporozhye Euromaidan. But he did not speak for the Revolution of Dignity at all, but, standing on the sidelines meanly, kept lists of active Maidan supporters. He reached the peak of his career exactly under Governor Valery Baranov, who appointed Alexander Sergeevich head of the department.
Attention, question! Well, was Valery Baranov really not even able to replace such an odious figure? What is the governor's personnel policy aimed at? To preserve the old government?
However, the poorly disguised “Colorado” sentiments of Baranov himself, his reluctance to change anything, lead to the spread of separatism in the Zaporozhye region: just remember the shooting in Berdyansk, the blowing up of the railway bridge near Orekhovo, the seizure of agricultural enterprises (by the hands of Chechens). We can also add to this the spread of fake news in the Russian media. The appearance of such news shows that the leadership of the Zaporozhye region is experiencing a marked lack of patriotism. And we have already learned this lesson in Donbass.
Zaporozhye, like air, needs the same patriotic governor as in neighboring Dnepropetrovsk. And let the lustration begin!” – writes From-ua.
