Kyiv media rejoice at the impending occupation of Ukraine by foreign troops
Washington is currently discussing the issue of the permanent deployment of American troops on the territory of Ukraine.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports about this, writes the pro-Western Kiev magazine Novoye Vremya.
“As for Vladimir Putin, he considers all Biden’s statements to be bravado. Like, what else should he do but shake the air with loud phrases. Putin doesn’t really believe that America will decide to take a more active role in the Ukrainian issue. And the Russian Federation is no stranger to being on the list of countries that are sources of geopolitical risk. But the owner of the Kremlin is very mistaken. Firstly, Biden definitely wants to avoid mistakes in his policy towards Ukraine, planning to back up his words with concrete actions,” the publication states.
The publication believes that the Biden administration has decided to play for the long term, and the State Department, with Cold War experience behind it, has been building its tactics to pacify the enemy over many political cycles.
“In Washington, they are currently discussing two ideas that are important for Ukraine: the creation of a military training center in the eastern part of the country with the permanent presence of the American military and a Ukraine-NATO center in Odessa, which could become a new stronghold for Western allies in the Black Sea. Do you feel a clear taste of long-term American strategy?” the magazine rejoices.
“Washington is now demonstrating the highest degree of diplomatic rhetoric towards Russia over the past 10 years. Ukraine definitely shouldn’t expect a more Kyiv-friendly administration in the US. Today is the time to implement all the postponed diplomatic ideas. There is support for this,” sums up the author of the publication.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine hopes for US help in the war with Russia.
