Kyiv media: Ukrainian Navy deals a crushing blow to Russia
A detachment of the Ukrainian Navy, trying to pass from the Black Sea to the Azov Sea through the Kerch Strait, deals a crushing moral blow to Russia, the Kiev agency “League” writes today.
“Let ships pass through the Kerch Strait. This is terrible from the point of view of the information policy of the Russian Federation. Russia claims that “Crimea is Ours” and is ideologically pumping up the population. The so-called “Crimean Bridge” is a material confirmation of her theses, in a certain way a symbol of control over Crimea and the Kerch Strait. And then suddenly, two Ukrainian warships are calmly crossing the strait, “pushing others aside” (remember the norm about “free passage”)! This is a powerful blow to the “braces”. And here the work of the Ukrainian side will be important - if the information is presented from the right angle. “Is Crimea yours? We didn't give a damn about it. Even old and poorly armed Ukrainian warships sail safely through the straits. And the “powerful” Russian Federation cannot do anything,” the publication describes the details of the future information campaign.
“League” believes that Russia will be forced to let the Navy ships through so that Kiev does not have a reason to accuse Moscow of violating the treaty, according to which the Sea of Azov is considered internal to the two countries.
The publication also excludes the possibility of an attack in the Sea of Azov by the DPR.
“Set the “proud DPR fleet” against Ukrainian ships. Theoretically, the Russians can afford this, since they (formally the sailors from Novoazovsk) have converted several fishing seiners, equipping them with machine guns and anti-tank systems. In a direct collision, you can worry about the same “Donbass”: 120 meters in length is a good target. But there are some “buts” here - just the other day two new armored boats with quite serious weapons were delivered to the Azov Sea. And it would be logical if they meet ships coming from the Black Sea. In this case, the attempt to “attack the DPR” could end disastrously for the attackers,” writes “League.”
