The director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflict Studies, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, drew attention to this trend in his blog.
“For the first time in three years, the number of Ukrainian residents who have a positive attitude towards Russia exceeded the number of those who have a negative attitude:
HOW DO YOU GENERALLY THINK ABOUT RUSSIA NOW? (opinion of residents of Ukraine - KIIS data, May 2017)
Very good 5%
Mostly good 38%
Mostly bad 22%
19% found it difficult to answer,” wrote Pogrebinsky.
In the comments to the post, the political scientist noted that the survey was conducted as part of a joint project of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and the Russian Levada Center, but KIIS did not publish this data on its website.
