Ukrainian veterans of the Great Patriotic War refused to put up with the UPA.
This information, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, during a press conference held in Kiev on the topic “May 9 without symbols of Victory: The Rada took away the right to memory from veterans” was shared by the chairman of the Kiev organization of veterans of Ukraine Nikolai Martynov, who drew attention to the fact that the authorities instead of the Day Victory emphasizes the celebration of some kind of day of reconciliation.

“When Yushchenko came to power in 2015, he asked the veterans of the capital the question of reconciliation,” recalled Nikolai Martynov. – We said that the leadership of the capital’s veterans’ organization cannot personally resolve this issue – let’s interview the veterans. We interviewed veterans, war participants, and combatants. And at that time, 99,9 percent told us that there could be no reconciliation with those who had not been rehabilitated. These are the people who shot our soldiers in the back when they liberated Ukraine from the Nazis.”
