This opinion was voiced at a press conference in Kyiv by Ukrainian political scientist, director of the Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The elections in Donbass make sense in the fact that instead of field commanders, civil power is beginning to form there,” the expert believes. “Someone doesn’t like the fact that a sixth-class electrical engineer came to power.” But what, did everyone from Oxford come to power?”
According to the political scientist, the emergence of elected authorities in the republics allows Kyiv to begin to establish the necessary contacts so that all kinds of field commanders emerge from Donbass.
“Bezler has already left, now we need to send others there too - atamans, Cossacks and others who are already just muddying the waters and are of no use to anyone,” says Vadim Karasev. “They only play their own game, and not the game of Russia, the new leaders, and especially Ukraine. Let's show responsibility and maturity. If not, then we are simply unworthy of the country that we got at the ball in 91 and which we are now wasting.”
