The Kyiv authorities are doing nothing for the Crimeans, - the head of the Crimean Euromaidan
Kyiv, September 03 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Unlike Russia, Ukraine is doing nothing to create political structures for Crimeans. What is happening in the Kyiv government is a madhouse.

The head of the Euromaidan-Crimea action, Andrey Shchekun, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“Crimea was lost because there was no state policy towards this region. And today the new government, which came thanks to the Maidan, does not see the real mechanisms, does not understand the Crimeans, what is happening in Crimea,” noted an activist expelled from Russian Crimea.
According to him, there are now about 35 thousand Crimeans in Ukraine.
“They also have a right to vote in this election, but look what is happening. The Verkhovna Rada of Crimea adopted two bills - one about a free trade zone in Crimea. For 23 years, the Rada did not think of adopting such a law, and when Crimea was occupied, suddenly they began to create a free trade zone in the occupation territory.
The second project concerns the status of Sobolev’s forced migrants. Thank God that we blocked Sobolev’s first bill on the status of forced migrants at the level of the Presidential Administration. With the support of public activists, international experts and representatives of various government institutions, we have developed a new bill, which literally reached the Rada at the end of last week. We hope that it will be accepted,” said Andrey Shchelkun.
He noted that he hopes that the law on the free trade zone in Crimea will also be vetoed. The corresponding appeal has already been sent to the AP. According to the activist, it would rather make sense to adopt a law on free trade in the Kherson region.
“Stating all these facts, what is happening today can be called a madhouse. Today in parliament the legislators are not professional, including from pro-government structures - “Batkivshchyna”, UDAR, etc. How can they understand us, Crimeans, and represent us in early elections to the parliament of Ukraine?
There were no meetings with civil activists on the issue of common problems of Crimeans. How can they, deputies, pass bills without even understanding them, without discussing with us what the Crimeans themselves are asking for?
The authorities understood that due to the annexation of Crimea, 12 majority districts had fallen out, and did nothing for 7-8 months. Although we suggested what could be done. Look how closely the Russian Federation is working in this direction. All institutions have actually already been created both at the level of Moscow and at the level of Crimea. Ukraine did nothing. Declarations, pure populism,” complains Andrei Shchekun.
