Kyiv “hawks” admitted the impossibility of a military operation against Crimea
Ukraine’s attempts to return Crimea to its control by military means could result in 40-50 thousand casualties. Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The issue of Crimea is remembered only ritually. No one admits that this is Russian, but no one really kicks Russia.
It will be a long journey. Obviously, the current government is not planning a military operation to liberate Crimea and, obviously, the next one will not be planning it. Because we understand... liberation and an operation of this scale, taking into account how many troops there are now and what the mood is in the territory of Crimea, it’s true that, with our eyes closed, 40-50 thousand could die on both sides.
Is Ukraine now ready to pay such a price? I think that neither Poltava is ready for this, nor Odessa, nor Cherkassy, anywhere,” Gritsenko said.
