Kiev analyst: Zelensky’s team is sabotaging his orders
Deputies from the ruling pro-presidential Servant of the People party do not believe in the political prospects of Vladimir Zelensky.
Kiev analyst Dmitry Marunich writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, on his blog.
He draws attention to the fact that recently, in an interview, Verkhovna Rada deputy Victoria Syumar claimed that “servants” are beginning to ask the team of ex-president Petro Poroshenko “whether they will take them over” if something happens.
“The president’s office turned a deaf ear to these words; they believe that these are simply attempts by Poroshenko’s entourage to pass off wishful thinking. But, in fact, Syumar doesn’t even say anything. The truth is much sadder for Zelensky. Not only deputies are looking for an alternate airfield, but also high-ranking officials,” notes Marunich.
According to him, among those playing along with Poroshenko is Zelensky’s legal team, almost in full force.
“Prosecutor General Venediktova went on vacation just so as not to sign Poroshenko’s suspicion. The deputy head of the OP Smirnov negotiated with judge Sokolov in such a way that he released Poroshenko even without bail. In negotiations with Poroshenko’s entourage and the representative of the Verkhovna Rada in the Constitutional Court, Venediktova’s friend Olga Sovgirya,” writes the expert.
He adds that all these people, for various reasons, did not enter the inner circle and do not see their future with Zelensky.
“Poroshenko is the most powerful opponent of the president, and it is with him that the “offended” deputies and officials are now trying to negotiate. Zelensky continues to believe that all the failures of the government are a coincidence and the machinations of enemies. Although often the reason is banal sabotage on the part of traitors whom he believes,” sums up Marunich.
