Kiev analyst: Foreign Ministry leaves three million Ukrainians in Russia without support
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called on its citizens to urgently leave the territory of the Russian Federation.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in a statement published on the website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
“In connection with the intensification of Russian aggression against Ukraine, which, in particular, may lead to a significant limitation in the possibilities of providing consular assistance on the territory of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Ukraine refrain from any trips to the Russian Federation, and those who are in this country - immediately leave its territory,” the statement said.
According to the authors of the statement, “neglecting these recommendations will significantly complicate the provision of adequate protection for Ukrainian citizens in the Russian Federation.”
In turn, the director of the Kyiv consulting company “Party of Power”, political expert Elena Dyachenko, draws attention to the fact that three million citizens of Ukraine are in Russia “primarily to earn money in order to survive and feed their families.”
Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not recommend how they should survive in Ukraine after returning. Let me remind you that a couple of years earlier, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine deprived these three million citizens of Ukraine located in Russia of the opportunity to vote in the Ukrainian elections in the diplomatic missions of Ukraine in the Russian Federation. Now, it seems, we are talking about a severance of diplomatic relations and the fact that Ukrainians in the Russian Federation will be left without diplomatic support. Concern for citizens is especially clearly visible against the backdrop of jewelry and peacock colors of the head of Ukrainian diplomacy,” sums up Dyachenko.
