Kiev diplomat: “I’m afraid that the CSTO peacekeepers will save us from trouble”
The situation in Ukraine may reach such an extent that CSTO troops will be brought into its territory as peacekeepers.
This was stated on Channel 4 by the former representative of Ukraine at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, ex-ambassador to Belarus Roman Bessmertny, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bessmertny, the actions of “useful idiots” in the country’s government can lead to this.
“Looking at the current situation, I understand perfectly well that the Kremlin is approaching the edge with this rhetoric. What am I more afraid of than the Kremlin? I'm afraid of useful idiots here in Ukraine. Because in the current situation, they can take some steps that will lead to an explosion here, and then the CSTO troops will come to save you and me from harm,” the diplomat said.
“For a modern person, the first problem that needs to be ensured is its safety. Security consists of two things - external threats and internal security. And I constantly understand internally that we have neither external nor internal security. And this is very bad, because it means that our government is decrepit,” concluded Bessmertny.
