Kiev diplomat: “What kind of Hamas?!” These are all Russian tricks."
Kiev
Moscow dictates its agenda to the world, allegedly creating local conflicts in different parts of the planet.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the magazine “Country“said the ex-ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus, former representative of Kyiv at the negotiations in Minsk, Roman Bessmertny.
“Nagorno-Karabakh, Georgia, Transnistria are not local conflicts of Russia with the goal of restoring the post-Soviet space. This is an attempt to create platforms to dictate the agenda to the world. Remember how the international community reacted to the aggression against Georgia. They showed Saakashvili chewing his tie. The emphasis shifted to him. Europeans expressed concern and condemned. But at the same time they said that the President of Georgia was also abnormal. The same with Ukraine. Russia managed to impose an agenda on the world for seven years,” believes Bessmertny.
According to him, now the international focus has shifted to the next Arab-Israeli confrontation.
“It’s surprising that the media is presenting this as an antics of Hamas. Everything was brought down from the Kremlin in order to once again dictate terms to the world. 90 percent of the missiles fired at Israel are Russian. At the same time, Putin says that he is fighting against terrorists. And Hamas has such a status,” the diplomat asserts.
“Russia is waging trench warfare against Ukraine and selling missiles to the Arabs. Two years ago, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stood on the podium of the mausoleum in Moscow on Victory Day. The Kremlin is pursuing such a hypocritical policy. Until the world understands that not a single word from Moscow can be trusted, nothing will change. No long-term agreements. There must be short-term, controlled steps with sanctions for non-compliance,” concluded Bessmertny.
