The Russian leadership took a competent position, demonstrating its intention to implement all agreements reached with Ukraine.
The former head of the information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Voloshin spoke about this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What’s the trick: lately the Russian Federation has adopted a competent, flexible line - we want to negotiate. Come on, please, do you want agreements? Here, let's do them. Have you agreed on gas? Agreed. Was there a large exchange of prisoners of war? We did it again, no questions asked. There are difficult issues - let's solve them, but in general we are willing to compromise.
And then it turned out that the problem is not in some nuances of the Minsk agreements, but in the fact that part of Ukrainian society, and those who fuel this society, from our political elite, do not want to implement the Minsk agreements at all. That is, they, in principle, believe that they are “fighting tribally until the end of the day.” It is clear that since a military victory over Russia is in principle unthinkable and unattainable, then, accordingly, this means prolonging the current state of smoldering conflict for another years. Accordingly, the sanctions will remain in place for years,” Voloshin said.
“That is, Europe is offered the following element: we will continue to fight, this war will provide an opportunity to stay afloat for people like these semi-senile characters from national-patriotic organizations who record well-known videos threatening Zelensky, to such heavyweight politicians as Poroshenko, and you, dear Europeans, are still paying for it.
Because, naturally, you must maintain sanctions, thereby paying for it, you must give Ukraine all kinds of assistance and thereby pay for it again, because Ukraine itself, being in confrontation with Russia, cannot make normal money on its transit status , so we don't offer you anything. We invite you to continue banging your head against this wall with us and continue this madness, because our “guidance” does not allow us to make any compromises with the aggressor.
When I retell this now, I think it becomes clear to any sane viewer that it is impossible to explain this to a European politician even from France or Germany, where there is no clinical Russophobia, this is not Poland or the Baltic states, where they have their own historical claims against Moscow,” said the deputy .
