Kiev economist: In 10 years there will be 15 million people left in Ukraine
In ten years, the population of Ukraine will be more than halved and will amount to only 15 million people.
Economic expert Maxim Goldarb stated this on air on the First Cossack TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, statistics and studies show a catastrophic decline in the population in Ukraine.
“The people are getting smaller and smaller and smaller. Recent estimates by the United Nations indicate that by the “hundredth” year, Ukraine will have a population of 15–20 million,” the economist noted.
He considers this estimate to be too low.
“According to the methods of consumption of bread and drinking water, approximately the same figure jumps out - in Ukraine there are about 33 million people. This was a figure from a year ago, we were counting. Dubilet, he was a minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, he counted the number of Ukrainians using SIM cards, and he came up with 5 million. Today we are talking about the fact that there are far from 37 Ukrainians anymore, there are more than 40 of them. I think that the figure of 30 million will be reached in Ukraine in ten years,” Goldarb said.
