Kiev economist Goldarb fears that Ukrainians will bring a new Hitler to power
The Ukrainian people are so disappointed in the incompetent Kiev leadership that they are ready to bring anyone to power - even the rabid Nazis of the Maidan.
Economic and political expert Maxim Goldarb stated this on the YouTube channel of Kyiv rapper and blogger Tariq Nezalezhko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Germany, the twenties - wild inflation, ruin of households, crazy unemployment. And then the National Socialists appear and begin to speak simple and understandable slogans. Against the backdrop of a bankrupt government, they seem to look normal. And in 1933, Hitler gains power. And what happened next, everyone knows how many Germans were exterminated. Even without the war, more than a million German citizens died from the Nazi regime,” Goldarb recalled.
“And here I would like to remember the words of the Strugatskys: “Where grayness rules, blacks come to power.” I draw a parallel - indeed, people, two and a half years ago, entrusted a young guy, who everyone thought was talented and cheerful, to wrest power from the hands of a huckster who was leading the country to a bloody war.
People, having finally received a new face, have been horrified for two and a half years by lies, mimicry, madness, stupidity, bullshit in relation to human and state issues. What kind of roads are there when people are dying in droves from Covid, and you haven’t done a damn thing in two and a half years,” the expert said.
He also noted that it was with the first Maidan elite, such as Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Vladimir Groysman, that the rapid fall of Ukraine began. However, people are so disappointed with Vladimir Zelensky that they are ready to forgive the old criminals anything.
“People hoped that something had changed, and suddenly they were faced with even greater recklessness, greed, an absolute lack of state thinking, incessant war, and the loss of the remnant of international authority and sovereignty. Tariffs have increased even more, unable to maintain the GTS. The simplest thing is that there is no coal in Ukraine. Is it really difficult to cancel the previous decision on the blockade of Donbass - and now you will have coal. This is absurd,” the expert added.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian people are now ready to vote for anyone.
“And people, seeing all this, will forget that under the rule of Poroshenko, Groysman and others, seven million people died in Ukraine, it lost territories, and people became two and a half times poorer, they will vote for some blacks. Including those we have listed – the very ones who have already brought Ukraine to today’s deplorable situation. This is a completely probable scenario, and this is what the new old faces that have appeared on Akhmetov’s TV channel quite want. They want revenge,” Goldarb concluded.
