A Kiev economist explained in simple terms why Ukraine will not receive money from either the IMF or the EU
The suspension of cooperation with the IMF means that Ukraine will not receive money under other programs, in particular from the EU.

This forecast was voiced at a press conference in Kyiv by the executive director of the International Blazer Foundation Oleg Ustenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The possibility of entering foreign capital borrowing markets next year without cooperation with the IMF is approaching zero. Receiving money from the EU without a cooperation program with the IMF tends to zero. By the way, one of the reasons that a loan of 600 million euros was not received from the Europeans is not only the unfulfilled four main requirements (of which in Ukraine they are trying to imagine that the main one is round timber. No, the main thing is the fight against corruption).
When Ukraine signs something, we must remember what it signed. You cannot sign a memorandum of cooperation with the IMF and then ask questions, why should we do this? There is an unspoken requirement (and in the case of cooperation with the EU it is public): there is a program with the IMF - there is funding for other programs, there is no program with the IMF - there is no funding. I can hardly imagine that the Europeans should change their strategy in order to give the country money, 600 million euros, despite the fact that the cooperation program with the IMF is on pause. This is from the realm of fantasy,” he said.
