Kiev expert admitted that Ukraine abandoned the LDPR
The population of Donbass willingly receives Russian passports because they do not expect help from Ukraine and understand that it has abandoned them.
Political scientist Artem Poberezhny stated this on the First Independent TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, the issue with Crimea has already been closed, despite the fact that the world does not recognize its Russian status.
“There is political life there, it has received social legitimation - and that’s all. Well, our Verkhovna Rada did not recognize it. Regarding the so-called occupied ones - regarding Crimea, the question is closed, because the UN did not recognize it, only Ossetia recognized it and that’s it. Regarding this territory, it seems, yes, there is a conflict in international law and all that, but we cannot influence this, we are not subjective in this matter now, therefore the issue with Crimea is closed - we voted there using Russian passports,” said the expert.
“But the question of citizens who are behind the demarcation line is that they received a passport recently - this indicates that no one is waiting for them here, that they were left to the mercy of fate. And these acts of public action that they received another passport in another country are only evidence that they do not expect help from this side, from Ukraine - that’s all. Why doesn’t anyone shout that half of the Chernivtsi region has Romanian passports, well, it’s true,” Poberezhnik said.
