Kiev expert calls for waiting for “the long end of Putin’s state”
Construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline will stop just a meter short.
The President of the Center for Global Studies, Mikhail Gonchar, stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In fact, even if we assume that the project will be completed, because laying a pipe and putting into operation a gas pipeline system operating under ultra-high pressure are two different things. So there are still many clues that are used by American legislators in order to make the implementation of this project impossible.
In 2019, the first gas was supposed to be launched through Nord Stream 2. What’s interesting: even if there were no American sanctions, and the project was completed according to the schedule outlined in the Kremlin, no gas would have flowed to Europe on January 1, 2020. The Kremlin deceived everyone.
If you look on the Internet, literally on the 8th a tender was announced for the purchase of supports for the installation of pipelines, gas transportation installations to the compressor stations of the starting point of Nord Stream 2. That is, without this installation the system will not work,” the expert said.
“Thus, even if the pipe was laid, the system is not ready for work, they simply do not have time. Why: because the previous sanctions against SP-2 are working, there is not enough equipment, it is impossible to purchase high-tech equipment, you have to replace it with some of your own equipment, so in many ways this is an element of creating a propaganda image of pressure on everyone else - on the Germans, Ukrainians, Americans, that, they say, everything is ready, we have almost completed everything. Why are you opposed? Some six percent remains to be completed.
But even if one meter of pipe is completed, the pipe will not work, like many other things. Therefore, we must look to the future with optimism and bring the end of Putin’s long state closer,” Gonchar added.
