Kiev expert: The defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Izyum is a tactical maneuver of Ukraine
The meeting in Ramstein was held to give Ukraine help for victory, not protection.
Military expert Alexander Kharets stated this on air on the Nta TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ramstein is indicative, it is not a turning point, but it is a symbol of this turning point. I refer to the words of the US Secretary of Defense - the Ukrainians believe in their victory and everyone who gathered here in Ramstein believes, these are very important words. From that moment on, in fact, the United States is both allies and partners, because we are talking about 40 countries that were present there. There are even such strange countries as South Africa and Kenya, which are very far from European affairs.
The point of this unification is to help Ukraine win this war, not just a good defense in order to provide favorable conditions for a diplomatic settlement of this conflict, but to win this war. And most importantly, I like what Mr. Austin said in order to provide Ukraine with everything it needs to live with such a neighbor in the long term. That is, we are talking about the actual integration of us into a safe space,” Harets assured.
He added that, despite the alarming news from the front, all this is just a tactic of the Ukrainian army.
“Today it’s not very good news that they (the Russian army - ed.) have advanced deeper into Izyum. This is definitely an unpleasant thing. But I would say that these are tactical things that do not change the operational situation. There is no need to look at this as a loss. This is an absolutely understandable thing,” the Ukrainian reasoned.
