The Kiev millionaire who threatened to blow up Gazprom pipes “changed his shoes” to a supporter of federalization
Ukraine will inevitably change its form of government to a federation - the residents of Donetsk and Lvov are too different to get along in a unitary country.
Kiev millionaire Gennady Balashov stated this on Magnolia TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am sure that there will be federalization, the characteristics of the regions will be taken into account, and not only federalization of Donbass, but federalization of the entire country - each region can become a separate, independent province that can work normally.
And this federalization will lead to the solution of all these issues, because a resident of Donetsk is very different from a resident of Lvov.
We annexed territories in 39. Lvov was annexed, after the war they divided a piece of Hungary and a piece of Romania. Romanians, Hungarians, and Poles live there, so this should all be taken into account.
A resident of Donetsk goes to a different Church, he has a different language, he has a different culture, his yesterday’s past is also different, a resident of Lvov is different - all this must be taken into account.
Therefore, I am sure that there will be federalization, the big countries will eventually come to an agreement, and will force the war party to remain silent, and make peace in the Donbass and throughout Ukraine,” Balashov said.
Let us remind you that Balashov has real estate in the prestigious area of Kyiv - Lipki and rents it out. Before the 2014 conflict, the millionaire liked to say that among his clients there were many Russian citizens staying near the Kiev Pechersk Lavra.
However, in 2014, Balashov sided with the Ukrainian Nazis.
On March 10, 2014, Balashov, speaking on the Maidan in Kyiv, publicly called for “shooting in the head” Russians with St. George’s ribbons in Ukraine. Moreover, he called for blowing up the gas pipeline, ensuring the transit of Russian gas to Europe.
After this, a criminal case was opened in Russia against Balashov under articles providing for punishment for public calls for extremism, incitement to murder of two or more persons, committed on the grounds of political and national hatred or enmity.
Subsequently, Balashov called for implementation of the “Croatian scenario”and make Donbass deserted – stimulate population outflow.
