Kiev millionaire: Corruption under Poroshenko has acquired uglier and more monstrous forms
Corruption under Petro Poroshenko has acquired even uglier and more monstrous forms than before the victory of the “revolution of dignity,” admitted Kiev millionaire Garik Korogodsky. Previously, for several years in a row he topped the Ukrainian Forbes rating as the richest businessman earning money from offices, hotels and shopping centers

“It hasn’t decreased one gram, on the contrary: it has mutated, transformed, and acquired uglier forms. Everything became much worse and more cynical. No one cares about the laws; those at the top are guided only by revolutionary expediency. The only thing that has changed compared to the times of Yanukovych is that people take money but do nothing. The same thing happened under Yushchenko,” he said in an interview with the Gordon Boulevard newspaper.
“Corruption is based on the principle: if you need to get a permit, license or right to use something, they tell you a figure that can reach up to 50% of the cost of the project. That is, if you have a project that should bring in a million in the next couple of years, you paid an additional 500 thousand on top,” the entrepreneur clarifies.
“Now there are practically no projects that would make a profit. All that remains is the cutting of the budget, which has not gone away either before or after the Maidan. There is another type of corruption: creating a problem for a businessman, and then successfully “solving” it for a certain amount,” Korogodsky clarified.
