As Navigator reported, in early March in Simferopol, Balashov was beaten by local residents for “trolling” the protesters, calling the Russian military “occupiers.”
Now Gennady Balashov has identified one of his Crimean “offenders” in a report from Channel 5. Journalists showed people in military uniform on Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles in Slavyansk, one of whom introduced himself as a member of the Donbass Self-Defense Army.
“This guy kidnapped me in Crimea, he taught the boys, and there were two students with him, and now they are there, in Kramatorsk,” Balashov wrote on his Facebook page.
“We have no protection, demand weapons. We do not have a commander in chief who is ready to take the blood upon himself. Tymoshenko is the fifth column and BYuT must be driven out. They are surrendering Ukraine,” said the millionaire.
Before this, he had repeatedly criticized the current leadership of the country and called for blowing up the gas pipeline in order to damage Gazprom and thus stop Vladimir Putin. For public calls to “shoot in the head” Russians with St. George’s ribbons in Ukraine, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Balashov.
