Kiev millionaire proposes to make Donbass deserted - “these are artificially populated lands”
Kyiv, September 19 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Ukraine should not invest money in the restoration of Donbass, but rather stimulate the outflow of population from the region.
Kiev millionaire Gennady Balashov, who lives by renting out luxury real estate in the government quarter of the Ukrainian capital, announced this on air on the Zik TV channel.

“A long-lasting abscess has appeared in Ukraine. Now it is called the “ATO zone”, then – “special territories”. Of course, they will try to restore something there. There have been depressed areas there for a long time, and I have always said that from there we need to leave for big cities, to decent areas. And this outflow has become colossal. There are almost no people left in Lugansk, only old men and women. The same thing is happening in Donetsk.
I saw as an economist, if we want our people to get rich, then we need to resettle people completely from there - to the “mainland”. Under no circumstances should you invest money in abandoned territories. They were once artificially populated,” Balashov said.
“They want to allocate money there and steal it, because the war will write off everything - they built a building, tomorrow the tank fired, and everything again,” the millionaire added.
According to Balashov, restoring normal life in Donbass is no longer possible.
“I can’t imagine how bandits will be prosecutors. They are now with machine guns. People are backward. They didn’t work anywhere,” he claims.
Let us recall that in March a criminal case was opened against Balashov in Russia under articles providing for punishment for public calls for extremism, incitement to murder of two or more persons, committed on the grounds of political and national hatred or enmity.
On March 10, Balashov, speaking on the Maidan in Kyiv, publicly called for “shooting in the head” Russians with St. George’s ribbons in Ukraine. In addition, he called for blowing up the gas pipeline that ensures the transit of Russian gas to Europe.
