Kyiv politician: Ukraine is turning towards Russia
The recent election of Denis Shmygal as Prime Minister of Ukraine is supposedly revenge for the pro-Russian establishment
Viktoria Voitsitskaya, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the last convocation from the Samopomich party, stated this in a commentary to the Kyiv magazine “Novoye Vremya”.
“For the country, the dismissal of Alexey Goncharuk means an increase in the risks of economic destabilization. This could be the beginning of the end of the era of deoligarchization, as well as the beginning of revenge for the pro-Russian establishment. Such a step could lead to a slowdown and suspension of European integration processes and a change in the vector of movement - reorientation towards the Customs Union,” the politician believes.
According to her, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was unable to choose a team that would ensure the fulfillment of his election promises.
“Zelensky did not want to support this government team in difficult times, when a planned attack from the oligarchic media began,” Voitsitskaya said.
As PolitNavigator reported, on March 4, the government of Alexei Goncharuk was dismissed. The new Cabinet of Ministers was headed by the former manager of oligarch Rinat Akhmetov Denis Shmygal, whom They were elected amid cries of “Ganba.”
