Kiev presenter: Hitler’s speeches about the borders of 1991 no longer motivate
If a Ukrainian politician does not repeat the mantra of returning the 1991 borders, he is better off fleeing abroad.
Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the “Yes it is” channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He agreed with the view that the goal of returning these borders had become “a mirage in the desert.”
“It's true, yes. This is truly a noble goal that politicians declare. Of course, if a politician says that we will not achieve the 1991 goal, he will no longer be a politician. Then he needs to pack his things and go somewhere to Italy or Spain, or somewhere else. If they let you out.
As for the realism of these goals, let’s speak frankly, there is a war going on and somehow thinking ahead about how it will end, what the results will be, is a thankless task,” Bondarenko said.
In turn, channel presenter Maxim Nazarov noted that speeches about “victory” and “cordons of 1991” have even begun to demotivate.
“Because all these “we are overcoming”, “we are going to the borders of 1991 fate” - they are already a little demotivating. Because people are still in the modern information space, given that everyone has a mobile phone, and they no longer charge, you know, how Hitler’s speeches charged the German army in ’39, and then again in ’41.
Now this no longer works, there is no blind faith, now you open a telegram channel, open a website, open an interview with some military man and see reality, drawing your own conclusions,” stated Nazarov.
