Kyiv political scientist named the following goals of Russia in Ukraine
Russia is focused on taking control of the most industrially and agriculturally developed regions of the east and south of Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv edition of UNN by political scientist Ruslan Bortnik. According to him, Russia will partially compensate for its military losses “by robbing Ukrainian territories.” 
“Russia has already robbed the Ukrainian economy of approximately $500 million or more. That is, it partially compensates for its military damage by plundering Ukrainian territories. What is meant is the massive export of grain, the export of rolled metal from Azovstal from Mariupol, agricultural machinery, cars and other equipment in the occupied territories,” says the Ukrainian political scientist.
According to Bortnik, Russia's next attacks will be on Nikolaev, Odessa, Krivoy Rog, Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk.
“If we lose these regions, we will be left with almost no industrial and raw materials potential, the ability to conduct effective international trade and without huge economic resources,” the political scientist warns.
