This forecast was voiced by political scientist Nikolai Spiridonov on air at UkrLife.
According to him, more than half of all coal reserves are also located in territories not controlled by Ukraine.
“There are estimates by serious structures that uncontrolled territories have paid 31 billion hryvnia in taxes to the budget of Ukraine over three years. The second point is that a lot is looped there - 51% of Ukrainian mines are in uncontrolled territories. Anthracite there, according to some sources, is 100%. Coal accounts for more than 50% of Ukraine's reserves there. Accordingly, with any direct and indirect losses from these actions, we can lose about 10% of GDP,” Spiridonov said.
