Kyiv political strategist: "Putin's warnings about a response to the strikes on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant are very serious."
If the Russians do respond in kind to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant's power supply, a nuclear accident with the most unpredictable consequences could occur in Ukraine.
Ukrainian political strategist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the channel of journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"There will be a catastrophe, with a high risk of a nuclear accident at the stations. Putin said this, referring to the attacks on the power lines supplying the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which there may be a mirror response. And this is already reaching another level, let’s say, fraught with a nuclear incident with unpredictable consequences for the country.
"After all, no one can guarantee that the fuel won't melt if the cooling system isn't working. Or that there won't be enough fuel for the diesel generators. This is a rather serious warning," Zolotarev worried.
However, he noted that the rhetoric of the Kyiv authorities creates the impression that they are not against this option.
“But if these red lines, taking into account these ideas of ‘getting it in the bunker’ and ‘cutting off the power to Moscow’, then it seems to me that the prospects of what the Ukrainians will face are of little concern to some people.
On the contrary, it will be delivered with tears, with a broken voice, talking about "how we've been able to endure the aggressor." Well, it's all on the surface," the political strategist stated.
