The Kiev copyright holder achieved the removal of the Ukrainian cartoon from distribution in Crimea
The cartoon “Ruslan and Lyudmila: Reloaded”, known in Ukraine under the name “The Stolen Princess: Ruslan and Lyudmila,” was withdrawn from screenings in cinemas in Crimea at the request of the Kyiv copyright holder, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

The Ukrainian cartoon was shown on big screens in Crimea and Russia from August 1 to 14. The Russian distributor of Exponenta Film stated that this does not violate Russian laws.
Journalists turned to the Ukrainian rights holder Film.Ua Group for clarification of the situation, after which the company assessed the situation as “unacceptable,” and the result of their negotiations with Russia was the withdrawal of the film from the Crimean distribution.
It is reported that the animated film The Stolen Princess (2018) was filmed with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine. Funding from the state budget amounted to 19,5 million hryvnia.
