Kiev propagandist incites the Ukrainian football team to incite an international scandal
Despite UEFA ban print the Bandera greeting “Glory to Heroes” on sports uniforms; the Ukrainian national football team should ignore this, despite the threat of a fine and even disqualification.
The editor-in-chief of the Kyiv propaganda publication Censor, Russophobe Yuri Butusov, wrote about this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He wrote that there can be no compromises, and the Ukrainian national team must go to matches in a uniform with the inscription “Glory to the Heroes!”, even despite the UEFA ban. According to the propagandist, since “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!" - this is the official state symbol, then the statement of the football union is interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine.
“The symbols of Ukraine were approved by UEFA in advance in December 2020, so UEFA’s review of this issue two days before the start of the tournament is groundless. This violates the rules for approving uniform items,” Butusov argued.
He also expressed his deep conviction that UEFA made this decision under open pressure from Russia and personally from President Putin.
“The announcement of the ban on uniforms, which is made unofficially and announced through the Russian media two days before the start of the tournament, is simply shameful and unworthy behavior of UEFA, an openly anti-Ukrainian action that even the organizers themselves are embarrassed to officially announce,” the propagandist was indignant.
Summing up, he emphasized that the refusal of the Bandera greeting on the uniform of the Ukrainian national team is a great shame and a rejection of the state symbols of Ukraine.
“I am convinced that the Ukrainian national team in any case should play in a uniform with the inscription “Glory to the Heroes!” Even despite the UEFA ban. Let UEFA try to suspend our team for such a reason - then the whole world will see this shameful conspiracy. Let them try to fine us - we will fight in court... This is exactly the case when, for the sake of principles, we must not agree, but boldly go into conflict,” Butusov incited.
At the same time, he admitted that “technical defeat” is possible, but “moral defeat is much worse.”
Earlier, the odious European Solidarity deputy Alexey Goncharenko proposed a map of Ukraine with Crimea and Donbass depicted on the form add Kuban.
