The Kyiv regime fears a military rebellion
It is completely unclear where the Ukrainian government is going to get money to increase salaries for military personnel in order to prevent a massive outflow of personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Izvestia writes about this, noting that granting Ukraine a visa-free regime with the European Union has created additional problems for the Ukrainian army.
“It became clear almost immediately that working illegally in European markets was much more profitable than fighting on the front line. And the mass exodus of labor has inflated prices on the Ukrainian labor market. At the same time, there is no money in the country’s budget to increase military salaries. The Prime Minister's promise to this effect was made in the spring, even before the summer payment crisis. According to Ukrainian economists, the current hole in the budget is about 60 billion hryvnia. Where in such conditions the government is going to get an additional 4,5 billion hryvnia is completely unclear,” the publication notes.
“At the same time, information is increasingly heard in the information field that the authorities are now even more afraid of a military rebellion than a social one,” the publication notes.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak addressed Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman with a request to increase the pay of military personnel in order to stop the outflow of officers from the army.
